The Center consists of a living history Cherokee village, a museum, and small township of historical buildings. Dedicated to the perservation of Cherokee culture and history, it is one of the most widely visited Native American sites in Oklahoma.

Wiping Away the Tears

The Cherokee Heritage Center has teamed up with the Association for Core Texts and Courses to host a workshop for high school teachers in science, literature, and art that focuses on the renewal and better understanding of Cherokee Culture by focusing on the Trail of Tears.
